Alan Lomax spent decades traveling the Southern US in search of distinct regional styles of rootsy, traditional folk music, and he got the goods. This documentary evokes the best of Les Blank, offering the viewer an inside look into the lives of the practitioners of traditional New Orleans Jazz, unspoiled by commercialism and modernity.
